Aston Martin has revealed production images of its V12 Zagato, a special model unveiled
last May at the prestigious Villa
d’Este concour. The car bears the name Zagato because of the history and
relationship between the two brands. Only 150
examples will be built, so place your order now.
Said Aston Martin CEO, Dr
Ulrich Bez: “Our relationship with Zagato stretches back more than 50
years. Together in that time we have created a series of very special cars. The
first – the DB4GT Zagato – is a true
icon: fast, beautiful and incredibly
desirable. In the V12 Zagato I believe we have captured the spirit of that car and combined it with
a confident twist of modernity to give it a character all of its own.”
The V12 Zagato will start selling sometime later this year and feature a state of the art, bespoke customer programme that
includes several hand-built
components and the extensive use of carbon fibre. The interior has things like
satin black rotary knobs, embroidery
in the headrests and hand-stitched
quilting.
Orders can now
be placed for Q4 deliveries. Prices in
the United Kingdom are levelled at £330 000 (R4 million).
