ALL-NEW BMW 6 SERIES CONVERTIBLE DETAILED





BMW South Africa is set to host the international launch of the all-new 6 Series Convertible. Curiously the topless car is being launched ahead of its hard top coupe sibling, whose introduction is slated for the third quarter of 2011. Not that I’m complaining, but normally that is what happens; coupe first, then drop-top.

L.A. AUTO SHOW SPITS OUT ALL-NEW MERCEDES-BENZ CLS 63 AMG





The 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show is under way and Mercedes-Benz has taken the opportunity to unveil this awesome looking CLS AMG. It’s based on the all-new CLS and features Merc’s brand new 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 engine for maximum performance. You’ll recall that Merc has recently replaced its old 6.2-litre V8 for this engine.

RENAULT SANDERO STEPWAY GREETS MZANSI





The Renault-Nissan alliance has worked so well that it is now the 4th biggest motor conglomerate in the world. Although Renault itself is quite a small player in the South African market, the brand is massive in Europe. They have now launched the Sandero Stepway which is branded as a Dacia in Europe. The idea behind the Stepway derivative is to offer something different in the market, something only a handful of others are offering.

ESTHER'S NDEBELE BMW TAKES ON NEW YORK CITY


South African artist Esther Mahlangu’s 1991 design of a BMW 525i will be displayed at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York City from November 17, 2010 – May 15, 2011. The BMW Art Car is a part of The Global Africa Project which explores the impact of African visual culture on contemporary art, craft and design around the world.

LAMBORGHINI SHOWS OFF NEW 515KW V12



Lamborghini has released the first and possibly most important details about its upcoming supercar, the car which will be sent to battle against the likes of the upcoming new Ferrari Enzo, Pagani Zonda and the 2013 McLaren supercar (the one above the MP4-12C). Some people are saying it won’t be called the Murcielago like the current one, but the Aventador.
