NEW "21ST CENTURY" BEETLE LAUNCHED IN SA

The first generation Beetle is one of the most successful cars ever with over 21.5 million units sold since it was first introduced in 1938. The first generation Beetle was one of the first Volkswagen cars to be built at the Volkswagen manufacturing plant in 1951. The first generation Beetle was the best-selling car in South Africa for 11 years of its 28 years existence. The 21st Century Beetle is now making its way to the South African market to re-ignite the passion of the original Beetle.

SCINTILLATING AUDI S3 FOR MZANSI






In two weeks’ time Audi South Africa will be launching the brand new A3 hatchback. The car obviously competes with the BMW 1 Series and Volvo V40, as well as the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatch. First we’ll see the “pedestrian” models go on sale. Then the S3 will arrive.

GENERAL MOTORS POSTS BILLIONS IN PROFIT



General Motors has announced third quarter net income attributable to common stockholders of $1.5 billion (about R13 billion), or $0.89 per fully diluted share including the impact of special items, which reduced net income by $0.1 billion and diluted earnings per share by $0.04.  In the third quarter a year ago, GM’s net income attributable to common stockholders was $1.7 billion (R14.8 billion), or $1.03 per fully diluted share.

AUDI S4s CLOSE SEASON WITH CHAMPIONSHIP




A very wet Kyalami race closed the 2012 season for the Audi S4 quattro competitors. With fading light and rain falling ever-harder, Michael Stephen, Melvill Priest, Tschops Sipuka and Gennaro Bonafede contested race three of the day, driving hard for the final chequered flag of the year.

JAYDE KRUGER IS 2012 FORMULA VOLKSWAGEN CHAMP!




Jayde Kruger is the Formula Volkswagen champion for 2012. Kruger wrapped up the championship at the penultimate round, with the final event of the season serving merely to cement his dominance this season.

SUBARU'S HENNIE GROENEWALD TAKES OVERALL VICTORY



Hennie Groenewald took overall victory at the final round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship at Khayalami, bringing a fitting close to the Subaru WRX STI hatchback’s racing career.
