2014 MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS CABRIOLET SPIED



Check these spy pictures of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet. Essentially the car is a CL with its top down, and since Mercedes-Benz will soon kill the CL badge in favour of S-Class Coupe, this is the natural addition to that. We don’t yet know when exactly it will be launched, but we expect it to be sometime in 2013, either at the New York or Frankfurt International Motor Shows.

MASERATI GRANTURISMO SPORT LAUNCHES IN MZANSI



Maserati of South Africa has launched the new GranTurismo Sport at a glitzy event in Johannesburg. Potential customers were treated to Maserati’s latest beauty, which is said to be an evolution of the GranTurismo S and GranTurismo S automatic, by Viglietti Motors CEO Meryn Eagles. Viglietti is the official importer of Maserati and Ferrari cars to Mzansi.

STRIKE OVER! TOYOTA PLANT PRODUCTION TO RESUME FRIDAY


Production at Toyota South Africa Motors’ Prospecton plant in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal is set to resume on Friday 5 October after negotiating parties reached an agreement today.

TOYOTA SA MOVES TO QUELL ILLEGAL DURBAN STRIKE


Discussions between senior management at Toyota South Africa Motors, striking staff and representing union NUMSA (the National Union of Metalworkers of SA) continued today at its Prospecton plant in KwaZulu-Natal.

SA'S TOP-SELLERS OF SEPTEMBER 2012



South Africans put something of a brake on new vehicle sales during the month of September 2012. New car sales were down 2% on August, but were actually up 1.4% on last September. In total there were 55 097 cars sold last month. This means the market is on track for a 600 000-plus bumper year, bar whatever unforeseen disasters.
