REVEALED: NEW AUDI A3 MZANSI PRICES!

The all-new Audi A3 hatchback is being launched to motoring media next week, but we already have prices! Starting at R267 000 for the 1.2 TFSI 6-speed manual with 77kW and 175Nm of torque. The car is said to average 4.9 litres of petrol per 100km travelled, after levelling the 0 – 100km/h sprint in 10.7 seconds.

BMW M6 GRAN COUPE 4-DOOR LEAKED!

Someone who attended a special function three nights ago called M Night, was kind enough to send these pics of the new BMW M6 Gran Coupe to Bimmerpost. M Night was an event organised at the Nurburgring in Germany as part of the 40 year celebration of BMW’s M brand. Thanks dude. Nice pics!

MERCEDES-BENZ SLS AMG BLACK SERIES BREAKS COVER

Following in its new tradition of releasing “Black Series”- badged AMG cars, Mercedes-Benz has removed the wraps off the brand new SLS AMG Black Series. The car is based on the SLS AMG GT but has a few neat tricks up its sleeve.

NISSAN JUKE MIDNIGHT EDITION UNIQUE TO SOUTH AFRICA

One of Mzansi’s best-selling crossover vehicles, the Nissan Juke, is now available in a version called the Midnight Edition. This special-edition model was designed especially for South Africans. Not sure why, but it sure looks good. Good is obviously a matter of personal taste since the Juke is one that splits opinion when it comes to styling.

SMALLER TURBO FOR NEW SA-BOUND FORD KUGA

Ford South Africa has confirmed that the all-new Ford Kuga will be available with a 1.6L EcoBoost petrol engine with 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and a 2.0L TDCi turbo diesel engine with PowerShift automatic transmission.

AUDI A4 ALLROAD MZANSI LAUNCH CONFIRMED

Audi South Africa is returning the allroad name to Mzansi fans. Last seen as the A6 allroad in 2001, the name is now attached to the smaller A4. I had quite a blast in the A6 allroad back in 2002 and hopefully this “reincarnation” will offer similar kinds of fuzzy warm feelings from me. Mind you, in Europe there is also a current-generation A6 allroad.

BMW REFRESHES 7 SERIES, ADDS HYBRID

The time has come for BMW South Africa to update its 7 Series range, just to keep things fresh and interesting for those of us lucky enough to be able to afford this mega executive sedan. The current-generation 7 was launched in Mzansi in March 2009.

BALLISTIC BABY AMG BENZ SPIED (ALMOST) IN FULL KIT

Late to the party, but nevertheless quite welcome to join in, Mercedes-Benz’s A45 AMG is likely to offer some serious playful maturity in its segment. The segment is currently only occupied by the BMW 1M Coupe and Audi’s RS 3 Sportback, although both are momentarily out of the market due to upcoming replacements.

TOP 2 FINISH FOR VOLKSWAGEN AT GARDEN ROUTE RALLY

The BP Volkswagen rally team finished their 2012 season in style, claiming the top two positions at the Garden Route Rally. Hans Weijs Jnr and Björn Degandt rallied home in first place with their teammates Enzo Kuun and Guy Hodgson hot on their heels.
