JENSON BUTTON OFFLOADS HIS R12 MILLION BUGATTI

Autotrader online of the UK reports that a certain Bugatti Veyron is up for sale in its pages for a price of £899 995 (R12 million). Quite a bargain considering its “new” price of around R23 million. The car is available from the Suffolk dealership and is being offloaded by its second owner, a racing driver named Jenson Button. Mhhh...

Having only covered some 2400km on the clock, the Veyron could very well be regarded as new. I just wonder who the current Formula One Championship leader bought this example from. He – Button is known to have exotic tastes in motor vehicles and still owns a Ferrari Enzo, an Audi RS 6 Avant, a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG, a BMW M5 and a Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG. I guess he’s had enough of accelerating from 0 – 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds using a 736kW, 1250Nm engine.

The rich 29 year-old Brawn GP driver has also owned such cars as a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Ferrari 360, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Ford GT and Porsche Carrera GT in the past.

I’ve just realised what I want to be in my next life. Now, to reach for that talent pool...
