PRODUCTION-READY ALFA ROMEO 4C IS A GO FOR GENEVA 2013

If Alfa Romeo wants to stay afloat they should ditch words like “limited edition”. Word is, the upcoming 4C coupe will utter such swear words soon after it appears at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show early next month. Alfa should be trying to sell as many cars as possible, not limiting production.

Anyways, these are the first official pictures of the actual 4C as it will appear on the roads. The designers and engineers didn’t stray much from the original concept car and ended up giving the nod to something that looks quite spectacular. Alfa’s 1.8-litre turbo (Giulietta) will be the basis for its power, meaning at least 175kW to the rear wheels.

Best news is that it will come up against cars like the higher-range Audi TTs of the world in terms of pricing, although it leads slightly in innovation by using a carbon fibre monocoque and aluminium bits for build.

There's something about this car that just doesn't work for me. But I can't figure out exactly what it is.
