Citroen unveiled a DS4
Racing Concept at the 2012 Geneva
International Motor Show. The car got some tongues wagging, thanks to its magnificent
looks and a very powerful 1.6-litre
turbo engine. Now rumours suggest Citroen has decided to add the car to its
growing list of Racing-badged
road-cars.
DS4 Racing is obviously based on the DS4 normal production car. The difference is that
it features a suspension system that’s 35mm
lower than standard, and is also 55mm
wider at the front and 75mm wider at the rear.
Said 1.6-litre turbo is of course shared with sister brand Peugeot, as well as BMW and MINI. It is at its most potent in this case, pushing out a stunning
191kW. That’s the same as a
2.3-litre turbo Mazda3 MPS and a
3.5-litre V6 Nissan Murano!
Should earlier-mentioned rumours prove true and Citroen indeed
produce the DS4 Racing, many a
petrol-head will be very happy.
