Ford teased this
car a few weeks ago, and some of us thought they were previewing the next Kuga
crossover. As it turns out, this is actually the brand new EcoSport compact SUV. The name might not be familiar to us South Africans but it’s one that has
been around since 2003.
The new car was unveiled at New Delhi’s Auto Expo, and was
mainly developed by Ford’s designers
and engineers in South America and
Asia, and it will be built for a lot of countries around the world. Mzansi may be one of the places where
this car gets sold. We reckon a suitable engine would be the new 1.0-litre EcoBoost, in either 74kW or 92kW guise.
