Car and Driver magazine says it’s pretty sure that Porsche is planning a direct Ferrari 458 Italia/ McLaren MP4-12C competitor. We thought the 911 Turbo S was it, but apparently not. Word from the rag is that this new super car is mid-engined and will slot in above the 911 but below the confirmed 918 Spyder.
There is nothing about power or price yet, but speculation amounts to around 450kW, which would be right in the MP4 ballpark. A 0 – 100km/h time of around 3 seconds or even lower is possible at this level, with top speed touching the 350km/h level.
