You know when a car manufacturer starts shelling out special edition products of a specific model, that that model will soon be out of production. That’s the case with the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class Grand Edition, a car to see out the ML. Of course the next-generation ML hits the dealerships in 2012.
An array of exclusive design features makes the M-Class Grand Edition one of the most distinctive and desirable vehicles in the Mercedes-Benz line-up. Exterior enhancements include an AMG radiator grille flanked by dark-tinted headlamps and LED daytime driving lights. These are complemented by darkened LED tail-lights, blue tinted glass and Grand Edition badge on the front wings.
The M-Class Grand Edition is further distinguished by 19-inch light-alloy wheels in 10-spoke design and the front and rear under-guard is chrome plated, along with the rectangular tailpipes. The aluminium running boards and aluminium roof rails add further visual impact.

Additional standard features for the Grand Edition include metallic paint finish and an electric sunroof.
A bonnet with the power domes, typical of sporty Mercedes-Benz models, is standard equipment for the ML 500 V8 model.
Expanding on the already luxurious M-Class specification, the interior features black leather upholstery with contrast top-stitching and piping in Sahara Beige. The sporty nature of this series is accentuated by an AMG sports steering wheel in leather with shift paddles, sports pedals of brushed stainless steel with rubber studs and stainless steel door entry panels. A Grand Edition emblem on the centre console provides the reference to exclusivity. The front door sill panels are also finished with stainless steel.
The high-grade poplar wood trim elements, with chrome stip and the black roof lining in designo fabric, further complement the interior. At night the ambient lighting creates a pleasant and exclusive Grand Edition mood. The dashboard in a 3D-look is also lined with ARTICO man-made leather, while the centre door panels are lined with real leather and finished in contrasting topstitching. Comfort NECK-PRO luxury head restraints for the driver and front passenger, and heated front seats are included as standard for the Grand Edition models.
