Pictures of the brand new 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS have been leaked through a marketing brochure and are now all over the interweb! The car is to replace the current CLS four-door which has been on the market since 2004 in Europe and 2005 in South Africa. That’s car’s life is soon to be over, replaced by what you see here.
Of course these are not the official pictures, that is, they were not sent out by Mercedes-Benz at all. Rather some genius backstabber (gotta love him/her) probably scanned the material and sent it out to his/her favourite motoring publication. And so they have been doing the rounds for a day.
The new CLS will feature pretty much the same engine lineup as the E-Class. That means we can expect a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 making just over 220kW, a normally aspirated V8 with 285kW and a new AMG model kicking out 400kW from Mercedes’ new 5.5-litre twin turbo V8. Many countries will also get the diesels, including the 195kW 350 CDI.
Seating arrangements remain the same, which is to say two people up front (including driver), and two at the back. The centre seating position is still being taken up by storage space so you can’t even place a kid in there.
Expect the all-new CLS-Class to be unveiled at the 2010 Paris International Motor Show this September. It will start selling in Europe in January 2011, with Mzansi dealers getting their first stocks before June 2011.

Its a looker... has the similar lines as the S-Class at the back, especially at the angle that pic was taken.
