MERCEDES-BENZ S600-BASED BRABUS SV12 R RUNS AMOK

BRABUS is not just a tuner, it’s a lifestyle. BRABUS is what AMG could be if allowed to run amok. Such a prospect probably scares the s@#% out of Daimler board members and after reading this article you’ll understand why.

Taking the facelifted Mercedes-Benz S600 BRABUS has done some work to increase power and improve performance. The engine for example is now a 6.3-litre and gets larger turbochargers. It’s also been fitted with forged pistons, revised camshafts, a special crankshaft and optimised cylinder heads.

The result is a bump in power to 552kW and an electronically-limited torque of 1100Nm. Naught to 100km/h comes at an early 4 seconds while the 0 – 200km/h time is 11.9 seconds. BRABUS says this new SV12 R won’t stop running until it reaches 340km/h.

No BRABUS car is complete without some exterior and interior pimping. That means things like an onboard laptop with wireless internet, two USB ports, a printer, electric curtains and power deployable tables.

Outside you can see the new aggressive apron with LED daytime running lights, aluminum sport fenders, a bold rear apron and a rear spoiler.
