FIAT 500C UNVEILED FOR THE PUBLIC AHEAD OF GENEVA

Fiat finally took the top off its fancy 500 today. The preview went ahead of the Geneva Motor Show where the car will be officially unveiled to the media and the public. As expected the 500C only loses the mid-part of its roof, leaving all the pillars intact. Unlike other cabriolets/ convertibles, the 500C could possibly be classified as a car with an extended canvass sunroof.

Engines fitted are the same 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrols as well as the 1.3-litre turbo diesel (not available in SA) with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Because of poor Mzansi sales and the current economic climate we are now unlikely to see the 500C on South African showroom floors anytime soon.
