Mercedes-Benz South Africa all but confirmed the imminent arrival of the GLK-Class small SUV for the first time in this country later this year. The GLK is a direct rival of the cars like the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60. It was launched for the first time in Germany in 2008 and went on to feature on the hit movie Sex and the City. But Mzansi was not on the list. Until now.

The GLK, now presented as a facelifted model, features revised headlights, different LED daytime running lights and other new goodies. On the engine front the car has both diesel and petrol, including the GLK 200 CDI worth 105kW and 350Nm, as well as the 195kW/ 620Nm GLK 350 CDI V6 BlueEfficiency.

No pricing has been confirmed for the local market yet, but you can look at the direct rivals for guidance on this.
