EGYPTIAN BMW 120D TURNS INTO M3-POWERED 1M COUPE

In Egypt, as in South Africa, government import taxes can cripple a guy’s dream by placing ridiculous amounts of extra costs on a new imported car. Now a guy in Egypt has refused to fund his government’s coffers by creating his own BMW 1M Coupe, instead of crying about how greedy the state is.

The car is priced at around R1.15 million in Egypt, about twice the price in South Africa and almost 3 times what you would pay in the United States! Actually in Mzansi you could just about get an M5 for Egyptian 1M Coupe money.

So what this enterprising oke did was to take a 120d instead, plus an M3 engine, and put the two together. Now his modified 120d doesn’t make 130kW anymore, but instead pushes out 309kW. The whole tune job cost him less than R345 000, including 1M lookalike fenders, bumpers, side skirts and four tailpipes among other added parts.
