Auto Motor und Sport magazine’s latest issue suggests that Audi is gearing up for more RS performance models. This time it’s not on the sedan, coupe or Sportback side, but on the SUV. Apparently the new Q3 is going RS as early as 2012. Indeed, so says the respected German publication which claims a baby Q3 RS is on the cards.
What about what’s under the bonnet? Well there’s already a 2.5-litre turbo living beneath the TT RS and the RS 3 Sportback. Why not in a Q3 RS then? These rumours say the same exact 250kW, 450Nm motor will power the little super SUV into performance stardom. Of course it would have quattro AWD and a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox for traction.
