The Ford Figo stayed in the top 3 sales position as the market grew sales by 12.6% over the same period last year. Figo pushed out a total of 1474 units in June, placing it behind the leading Volkswagen Polo (1 664) and Polo Vivo (2 200). It seems we are on track to achieve over 500 000 in sales this year in what would be a remarkable recovery from 2010’s figure of 492 956.
“The results are very promising for our dealer network and confidence building for Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa as we head into a busy second half of the year and the promise of new products,” said FMCSA’s Vice President Marketing, Sales and Service, Dean Stoneley. “As a result, we have even more aggressive sales targets for the third quarter.”
