Land Rover UK has released comprehensive prices for the upcoming Range Rover Evoque range, despite the fact that the first UK deliveries are only expected sometime in September. Starting stickers are £27 955 for the baseline eD4 6-speed manual 2WD (). At today’s rate of exchange that translates to R302 000. You can stop dreaming now if you think you’ll be able to buy the new baby Range in Mzansi for that little.
Two body styles (5-door and 3-door Coupe), as well as three engine types are offered for the English, against a total of 44 trim levels.
The engines comprise a 2.2-litre turbo diesel with two different power outputs and a 2.0-litre petrol. The lowest of these is the eD4 with power of 112kW, followed by the TD4 worth 142kW. The petrol kicks out a nice 179kW from its turbo unit.
There’s currently no confirmation as to which of these engines will power our local Evoques, so let’s stay put until its launch. We’ll all be able to see it at the 2011 JIMS in October anyway.
