Mercedes-Benz South Africa has severed its business ties with Mitsubishi Motors of South Africa, 16 years after the start of what was meant to be a mutually-beneficial relationship. The Japanese brand will, as of July 2011, be distributed by Imperial Holdings, a JSE-listed company.
Mitsubishi produces some of the highest-rated cars in their classes, such as the Lancer sedan, Pajero SUV and Pajero Sport. For whatever reason (we suspect lack of product), their cars have not done as well as they should have in our market. Imperial aims to change all this. The company is quite diversified, with interests in the motor, insurance and logistics industries among others. It started off as a single dealership in Jozi back in 1948 and currently employs around 34 500 people.

I would say they in trouble but Impreial is big enough to handle them. Unfortunately they don't have many products for consumers to choose from.
