RC CONCEPT FROM PEUGEOT

Peugeot is pulling quite a teaser on us, a little French strip show if you like. It’s like a Jane Fonda workout; flex, muscular, yet feminine and good for you.

It’s the “RC…” concept, the missing link between RC concept of 2002 and 908 RC of 2006 Paris. Again, Paris Motor Show will be the site for the official unveiling. Notice the name has ellipses; Peugeot promises to reveal its full name at the show.

This concept has four doors, sloping roofline, sporty characteristics, making it a sort of GT coupe. Supposedly a number of engineering, design and technological ideas fuse into this single concept. Hybrid architecture will be the key driver, so to speak, with the powerplant expected to deliver 230kW/ 313 bhp, with a lowly 109 g/km CO2 emissions combined cycle and no emissions at all when running on the batteries.

Very little wrong with this arrangement, but trouble has been with these Peugeot concepts, lack of production continuity. We’d really love to see some of these on real roads some time. Soon would be nice.
