Volkswagen is planning an even smaller SUV to the Tiguan,
according to Automotive News Europe.
The publication spoke to Design Director Walter
de Silva who confirmed the news. Currently the smallest SUV badged as a VW is
the Tiguan. The biggest in the brand is the Touareg.
According to the report, VW reckons there is growth
in the areas of smaller crossover vehicles, especially in the emerging markets such as South Africa, Russia, Brazil, South Korea and China among others. Such
cars as the Nissan Juke are prime examples of this segment.
