Toyota and Subaru are developing a sports coupe together, that’s not a secret. The secret perhaps, is when exactly these cars will hit the road, seeing Toyota’s version, the FT-86 has been showing at several international motor shows (Tokyo, Geneva) for what seems like two decades. Regardless, the car is coming and this is the second show version.
What we do know is that Subaru is providing the firepower in the form of a small boxer petrol engine, probably paired with a turbo. Power should range from about 150kW to 200kW. Toyota hasn’t even come close to producing anything this exciting since the Celica / Supra line. For their sake this had better deliver performance to match the looks.
