JEEP CELEBRATES 70 YEARS WITH SPECIAL EDITION MODELS

Jeep has begun celebrating 70 years in existence, and there are special products for Mzansi customers to feel all cuddly and special. Models being fitted with special 70th Anniversary Edition kits are the Cherokee, Wrangler, Patriot, Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee.

“The Jeep brand’s legendary heritage and capability have made it iconic, well-known and loved throughout the world including South Africa.  Since they were produced in 1941, Jeep vehicles have been the authentic benchmark for off-road capability, having mastered more terrain, led more adventures and provided drivers with more freedom than any other vehicle before or since,” says Guy Franken, Head Group Marketing and Corporate Affairs.

Several different pieces are fitted onto the cars, depending on the model. Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited for instance, feature Mopar brushed aluminium sill plates, 18-inch wheels, special floor mats with Chestnut binding. Cherokee gets heated front seats for the harsh winter, a media centre with a 16.5cm touch screen display, 18-inch Mopar wheels and others.

The cars are now available at selected Jeep dealerships across the country.
