Aston Martin has already confirmed the return of the Lagonda badge, but pundits had suggested a new sedan model. Reports from Autocar suggests otherwise. A luxury SUV is being mooted as the first model to wear Lagonda sleeves.
The name Lagonda has of course, been around since 1906 when a company of the same name was building cars of its own accord. By 1947 it was swallowed up by Aston Martin and thereon AM released several cars bearing Lagonda on them.
A Lagonda SUV would naturally be placed above SUVs like the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz ML, possibly slotting in the same realm as the Range Rover big body.

Interesting, the back looks like someone took the back of a Bently GT Continental and warped it in Photoshop.
I completely agree with Oxo. Aston stole the rear from Bentley's Continental GT-series.
