Jeep South Africa has launched the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee to the domestic market. The car is not a facelift but a completely new vehicle from the ground-up. It competes against cars like the Audi Q7, BMW X5, Land Rover Discovery 4, Porsche Cayenne, Volvo XC 90 and Volkswagen Touareg.
“Nearly two decades ago, Jeep invented the premium sport-utility vehicle (SUV) segment with the introduction of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. More than 4 million sales later, Jeep improves the formula and hits the sweet spot of Jeep 4x4 capability and on-road refinement with the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee was launched in 1996 into the South African Market during which time it has achieved significant market penetration and defined the local SUV Market. It represents the culmination of 70 years of Jeep heritage” Guy Franken – Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Chrysler South Africa.
Franken continues, “With the all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee, Jeep has created the benchmark, premium SUV. Unique innovations such as our new Quadra-Lift air suspension system and Selec-Terrain traction control systems separate Jeep from the crowd locally and take the new Grand Cherokee to the next level of 4x4 capability. The new generation of the iconic Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers the perfect blend of on-road refinement, superb craftsmanship, world-class design, improved fuel economy, innovative features and legendary, real-world capability now available in Southern Africa.”
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers premium on-road performance while maintaining the Jeep brand’s legendary four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand two-speed transfer case and towing capability. It also offers improved fuel economy and a world-class interior cabin.
The all-new Quadra-Lift air suspension system delivers legendary Jeep off-road capability along with the new Selec-Terrain system that allows the driver to choose the drive system that best matches on- or off-road driving conditions. New front and rear independent suspension systems deliver premium on-road handling and comfort.

can't ever beat the X5 never! they can just keep trying
Too soft for my liking. Too similar to the old one too and I didn't particularly like the old one. Jeep has to spend real money to develop cars and not keep harping on about the old technologies which no one cares about
Another one fr bad residual i see
