A taxi driver has
been arrested for running over a pedestrian and subsequently kicking him
while he was down. The incident happened
at a fuelling station forecourt in
Bloemfontein over the weekend. The driver was later arrested and is facing charges over the incident. Some of the footage was taken by CCTV security cameras mounted at the fuel garage.
From what we can see, it appears the driver got irritated by something the nameless pedestrian did or said as he passed
in front of the taxi. Perhaps that is what got the driver into a rage. Nevertheless he deliberately appears to turn into the forecourt
in order to run the man over, gets out of his taxi and gives him a Morne Steyn kick on the upper body.
Worse for us is
that onlookers gather but they don’t
do anything at all to help! None of
them offer the knocked down pedestrian any assistance,
and even when the enraged driver kicks
him, not one even tries to break up the apparent assault.

Most of the time when the media talks about bloemfontein taxi they always talks as if they are the most polite taxi drivers compared to other places but what really happens in bloem is heart braking cause they just trat peoplle as nothing moreover their bosses (passengers) and it is a norm for people just to look and do nothing even in a situation whereby a female is been beaten by a man, please do something about the situation in Bloem.
