PEUGEOT HR1 CONCEPT SLATED FOR JIMS 2011

Peugeot has promised to unveil the HR1 Concept car at the 2011 Johannesburg International Motor Show (JIMS) in October. The HR1 will be among other prolific cars at the Peugeot stand, including but not limited to the really cool RCZ coupe.

To recap, the HR1 is a small urban coupe/ SUV the measures 3.67 metres long, making it just shorter than the 207 hatch. Its features include LED rear lights, two electric “scissor” doors, satellite navigation, air conditioning and a mobile tablet PC.

The powertrain is based on a 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired with a 27kW electric motor. In total, about 109kW of system output is realised, with an average fuel consumption of 3.5 litres per 100km and 80 g/km in C02 emissions.
