430KW PORSCHE PANAMERA TURBO S FOR CHINA?

We knew it would eventually come but we didn’t think it would be this soon. But now a rumour says Porsche will introduce a Panamera Turbo S at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show (Auto Shanghai) in China next month. It will feature a petrol engine with more power than any other in the lineup.

Currently the fastest, most powerful Panamera is the Turbo version which has 368kW and can run from 0 – 100km/h in an incredible 3.9 seconds. The Turbo S would use the same 4.8-litre V8 turbo engine to make about 430kW and probably be capable of going from 0 – 100km/h in 3.5 seconds! It would be the fastest accelerating car of its segment and cost just under R2 million in South Africa.

I think it will be less than 430kw. I think it will be 408kw like the Cayenne Turbo S.

At that price I may as well fork out an extra R160 000.00 and get the 911S.
If I'm really looking for a door I'd get the S65 AMG, at an extra R245 100.00 and get 450kW.
