VATH-TUNED CL 65 AMG BREAKS OUT 550KW

Tuning house VÄTH of Germany is known for its outrageous interpretations of the Mercedes-Benz genre. They’ve taken a standard CL 65 AMG whose V12 bi-turbo engine makes 450kW and 1,000Nm to places not even AMG thought were possible. I lie. They’ve probably been there and back themselves.

Back to the story at hand. The VÄTH CL now makes a heady 548kW and 1,150Nm of torque. They say it can accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in just about 4 seconds, making it a stupidly quick 2-ton machine. Top speed is said to be around 340km/h for those who dare General Cele and co.

Added bits include a carbon front lip, 20-inch wheels, a carbon diffuser, boot and rear roof spoilers. And the pricker? A tag of €57,490 (R624 000) over and above the R2.3 million you’re already sticking out for the CL 65 AMG. Too bad VÄTH has no offices in Mzansi.
