USAIN GETS A BOLT OF M3 POWER

World and Olympic 100m and 200m sprint champion Usain Bolt’s dream as a boy was to be world and Olympic champion. In August this year he became the fastest man ever, breaking both world and Olympic records. He ran 0 – 100m in 9.69 seconds and 0 – 200m in 19.3 seconds. That’s a staggering 9.7 metres per second! Recently another dream of “Lightening” Bolt’s came true; the childhood dream of owning a BMW M3.

Bolt’s main sponsor Puma has made sure of this by including an M3 in his Christmas sock so that he doesn’t have to buy one himself.

So the R700,000+ car is off to Kingston, Jamaica and Bolt has already had advanced driving lessons on how to handle an M3. The M3 uses a 4.0-litre V8 engine to produce 309kW and 400Nm of torque. It is said to sprint from 0 – 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 250km/h.
