NEW 2012 TOYOTA YARIS ON ITS WAY

Toyota is preparing to launch the new Yaris hatch in the UK this summer. The car is one of South Africa’s best-sellers, not only for Toyota, but in the entire market as well. It constantly features in the top 5 list. Please note that this is an all-new vehicle, not a nip/tuck facelift.

For the UK customer, something called Toyota Touch & Go will be standard in most of the models. It has a 15.5cm touch screen display unit with multi-functionality.

And because the UK is such a big diesel consumer (over 75% of all new cars run on diesel), a 1.4-litre D-4D engine will form part of the range. Don’t expect to see that one here in Mzansi. Apparently South Africans are not too interested in saving fuel and gaining performance at the same time.

Sorry but this looks like an Opel Corsa. Major design FAIL Toyota, PASS for Opel's design team. But as usual the buying sheep will queue up for it.
