One of Mzansi’s
best-selling crossover vehicles, the Nissan
Juke, is now available in a version called the Midnight Edition. This special-edition
model was designed especially for South Africans. Not sure why, but it sure
looks good. Good is obviously a matter of personal taste since the Juke is one that splits opinion when it comes to styling.
Limited to only 100
units, the Midnight Edition features black 17-inch alloy wheels, red or black spoilers and door mirrors, rear privacy glass and others.
The car features the same 1.6-litre DIG turbo engine worth a sporting 140kW and 240Nm of torque.
We’ve driven this engine and found it to be willing and able when prompted to respond to performance demands. The flipside is a
rather high fuel average for the type and size of car.
If you dig the Juke
Midnight Edition be prepared to part with a loan of R272 500, or R278 500 when fitted with leather. Be quick though. Remember, it is
a limited edition.
