2014 MERCEDES-BENZ S 65 AMG SPIED WITH NO DISGUISE

Spy cameras have caught the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG, set to be the most luxurious and powerful AMG car in the line-up. These spy shots were taken during what looks like an advertising / commercial campaign shoot. Our spies had a few close calls with security that did not want them taking these pics.

The new S 65 AMG is of course based on the new S-Class range and sits above everything else at the moment. But instead of the 5.5-litre biturbo V8 as seen in the new S 63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz seems to be sticking with the 6.0-litre V12 philosophy. At this point we can only guess at the power figure, but currently you are looking at 463kW and 1000Nm of torque.

Some of the features are repeated from the S 63 AMG, including Lane Keep Assist, Alcantara finishings on the door frames, AMG sports seats, Night Vision, optional DVD screens and a mini bar fridge at the rear and so on.

The new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG will be sold in Mzansi. Hopefully the S 63 AMG at least, will be shown at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show next month.
