The new Toyota Verso
is on its way to Mzansi! New is probably
stretching it a little bit; it’s only a facelift. Except it isn’t really “only”
a facelift. Toyota says the revamped
Verso features up to 470 new parts
over the outgoing model.
First obvious changes are on the exterior where we can see those swag LED daytime running lights for the first time on a Verso. The face is completely new and features
Toyota brand’s new family grille and
bumper. Integrated indicators on the
side mirrors add to the higher-end
aura, and the rear is fitted with a new bumper too.
The Verso is so named because of its versatility and 7-seat layout. Apparently there are 32 different seating configurations,
which means one can have a different one everyday, every month.
Defiant as ever, Toyota is still not buying the turbocharged
petrol engine argument and is therefore only installing blowers in its diesel
units. Europe engines include a 1.6-litre
making 97kW and a 108kW 1.8-litre.
I like the look
