GENEVA 2012: CHEVROLET RELEASES CRUZE WAGON

The Chevrolet Cruze station wagon that was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show, joins a Cruze lineup that now consists of the original successful sedan, and the new hatchback. Whether or not it will be the last body style remains to be seen. Who knows, there may be a Cruze Coupe or Convertible lurking around.

Back to Earth. The station wagon will start selling during the European summer and be available with a total of five engines. They include a 1.4-litre petrol turbo (presumably the same one found in the Opel Astra), a 1.6-litre and a 1.8-litre, both of which are found in the sedan. Two diesels, namely the 1.7-litre and an improved 2.0-litre can also be ordered.

Then there’s the new MyLink infotainment system. Apparently it integrates with devices like smartphones in order to turn your car into a sort of docking station. You also get a full colour touchscreen, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity.

  1. This is actually not a bad looking wagon. I don't understand why Chevy won't bring this car over to the U.S. this would make a good Vw Jetta wagon fighter. I would get the cruze wagon with the turbo engine
