Some press and brochure pictures of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class have been leaked on the internet! The car will be unveiled tomorrow at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show, but it seems someone just couldn’t wait for that day. Lucky for us.
As you can see, the car has done a total 180, from being a mama compact MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) to being something of a sports hatch in
just one generation. It is sleek, coupe-like
with a very sporty character. That means the upcoming Audi A3 and current BMW 1 Series now have real direct competition from Merc.
Engines will include 1.6-litre
turbo petrols and diesels, as well as an AMG model rumoured to produce well over 250kW. The new A-Class can be expected in South Africa in early 2013.
I could consider this as my second car
ReplyDeleteGood move from Merc. The 1 Series has been leader too long and the new A3 looks old already.
