Peugeot is one of the first automakers to confirm a world debut for the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show in September, with the 508 RXH. The 508 RXH is a crossover vehicle that runs on hybrid power, combining AWD with a diesel hybrid powertrain system. It reminds us of the Subaru Outback and Audi allroad.
Under the front end begins a 2.0 l HDi FAP HYbrid4 drive train with a maximum power output of 147kW and peak torque of 450Nm. Peugeot says the car is also capable of a 100% EV mode which really helps in putting down fuel consumption. As a result total average consumption is said to be 4.2 litres per 100km.
Peugeot could be on to something here.
