The all-new Audi A6 launches in Mzansi this week, and we already have prices. The car will be initially launched in three versions: 3.0 TFSI S tronic, 3.0 TDI Multitronic and the 3.0 TDI Quattro S tronic. One could say these are mid-range models, with lower and higher ones still to come. Prices range from R520 500 right up to R655 000.
The baseline model is the 3.0 TDI Multitronic. This turbo diesel engine puts out 150kW and 400Nm, and costs R520 500 in standard form. Next one is the 3.0 TDI Quattro S tronic making 180kW, and peak torque of 500Nm (R645 000). Lastly a petrol 3.0 TFSI S tronic with 220kW at 5250 rpm and 440Nm between 2900rpm and 4500rpm is being sold. Its 0 – 100km/h time is said to be 5.5 seconds, while it costs R655 000.
Just from a logical point of view (of course Audi has not confirmed any of this info at all), within the next two years we expect a lower 155kW 2.0-litre TFSI, a mid-range V8 petrol, a 4.2-litre V8 diesel stomping out 800Nm of torque, an S6 that uses an upcoming speculated 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 petrol, as well as an RS 6 we think will be worth close to 450kW.
IN4RIDE is attending the launch of the all-new Audi A6 later in the week and we’ll bring you much more detail thereafter.
We'll be waiting.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pricing for Audi. I think they are good because they are close to the bmw and mercedes prices. nice Audi
ReplyDeleteGee Audi really have gone premium haven't they? These prices are truly tear-jerking. I guess the RS6 will be something like R1.5 million then?
