HYPER KOENIGSEGG AGERA R DETAILED

Koenigsegg revealed its Agera R at the 2011 Geneve International Motor Show early this month. Now the independent Swedish hypercar maker has made public details regarding this special car. If you thought you’d heard about quick, you haven’t heard about the Agera R.

Spurring things from rubber to meltdown is a 5.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine with a maximum power output of 820kW and torque of 1200Nm. Koenigsegg gifted it with a 7-speed double clutch gearbox that helps it accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds, topping off at just over 390km/h. they claim an average fuel consumption of 14.7 litres per 100km, but if you know anything about supercars you’ll that claimed figures are seldom ever matched.

Not only is the Agera R a talented driving tool on four wheels, it can also make one feel at home with its menu of gadgetry. That means creatures like satellite navigation, electric windows, USB connection and a powerful sound system.

  1. So would I choose an Agera over a Lambo? Yes because no one else would have one for a 1000km radius.

  3. If Koenigsegg can get 820kW out of a 5.0-litre V8 twin-turbo, why cant Merc the S65 AMG to push 520kW out of a 6.0-litre V12 engine paired with two turbos and not its 463kW? Nidlala ngathi.
