BMW VISION CONNECTEDDRIVE SHOWS FUTURE TECH

BMW’s Vision ConnectedDrive, unveiled today at the 2011 Geneva International Motor Show, serves to showcase a number of new technologies as well as existing ones being taken to their next natural levels.

Take the Internet connectivity part, which will allow passengers to access websites such as IN4RIDE, FaceBook and Twitter while the car is on the move, let the front passenger be highly entertained as the car swooshes along, enable the driver to step outside and command it to park itself at any spot without driver even touching it, stop it from coming too close to another car, and make it have “conversations” with other cars on the road.

All these technologies are being researched and developed by the Vision ConnectedDrive and should be available, if not just in part, within the next few months.
