After a nail biting 2010 season with excellent overall results, the team is confident and determined to bring home podium finishes and more championship wins. Engen Xtreme Team Manager, Michael Stephen commented: ‘Having finished on the championship podium three years in a row, 2011 is the year to step up to the number one spot. We are extremely excited as we will be launching the new Audi S4 this year which will make the Xtreme Team far more competitive, keeping our rivals hopefully in our rearview mirrors. With all the hard work that has been put in, I am confident that bar any serious race incidents during the season, this year we will be Xtreme’s year when we can reward our sponsor, Engen with a championship.’
2011 will see Engen continue their support for the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and specifically, it’s world renowned Burns Unit. The coming season will see a continuance of the ‘Racing for Red’ campaign where funds are donated for every point the drivers score during the race season.
