PIGSPOTTER CASE BACK WITH THE P.I.G.S

Motorist hero PigSpotter has had his court case delayed because the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has given his case docket back the police for further investigation. What this basically means is that the police, despite having said the opposite, are not quite prepared for this case.

What’s Mr PigSpotter accused of by the way? Well, the man is a prolific Twitter whose tweets are aimed specifically at warning motorists about traffic police who may be on their way at any point in time. The NPA has charged him with crimen injuria charges which is to "unlawfully, intentionally and seriously impairing the dignity of another, as well as obstructing and defeating the ends of justice.

I’m not sure which person he has seriously impaired or injured through his actions, where in fact the opposite could be true; he saved a few people from getting tickets. The NPA will contend though, that his actions may have hindered the work of police who might have caught criminals had it not been for his Twitter warnings. The police are also offended that he calls them P.I.G.s which he says is an acronym for Police In Gauteng.
