G-POWER X5 M GOES BANANAS

G-POWER’s X5 M Typhoon has received a power boost. Where the normal car puts out a gutsy 408kW and 680Nm of torque, the previous Typhoon went for the kill at 441kW and 700Nm respectively. This time G-POWER has grown enough of tiny increases and has attacked the situation head-on.

Power is now up to 533kW at 6000rpm and torque goes to 890Nm at a very low 1500rpm. To say this thing will blow the socks off many a supposed supercar would be an understatement. Its 0 – 100km/h time of 4.2 seconds is testament to this, followed by its top speed rated at more than 300km/h.

A sports suspension is responsible for the 30mm lower ride height, while the wheel arches were widened to accommodate these massive 11Jx23 front and 12Jx23 rear wheels. Rubber is sorted thanks to Michelin through 315/25 ZR 23 of the high-performance stuff.

The cost? It’s €18 000 (R164 500) for the power jack, €12 185 (R111 352) for the body kit and €8 865 (R81 000) for the wheels and tyres.
