Mzansi doesn’t get the Infiniti. But I can tell you from personal experience that Infiniti makes some of the finest automobiles in its segment from anywhere in the world. Having driven the G35 Coupe on home soil in Japan I reckon Nissan have a highly competent package in Infiniti.
Europe however, has no issues with the brand and the region is about to start selling the G37 GT Cabriolet, a (barely) four-seater sports car with the same 3.7-litre V6 engine of the new R500 000 Nissan 370Z. In this instance it makes out 235kW. The 0 – 100km/h sprint takes 6.2 seconds and top velocity is 250km/h.
Infiniti, as always, didn’t skimp on the nice interior stuff. Here we see a 10GB music storage unit attached to a 13-speaker Bose sound system. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are part and parcel of the package.
Prices range from €52 600 (R591 600) in France to €71,750 (R806 990) in Holland where taxes are substantially higher.
